From November 24 to 27, 2024, the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the Business Graduates Association (BGA) hosted their Asia-Pacific Annual Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Centered on the theme“Innovation and Sustainable Development”, the event attracted over 200 representatives from nearly 100 business schools across China and the Asia-Pacific region. Our school, having earned BGA Gold Certification in May 2024, was represented by Associate Dean Wang Chao at this prestigious gathering.
The conference featured multiple keynote presentations and parallel sessions addressing critical topics such as talent development trends for business schools in the digital economy era, sustainable entrepreneurship and leadership development, pathways to a sustainable green future, and AI applications in pedagogy. Participants engaged in robust knowledge sharing and interdisciplinary dialogues on these themes.
During the conference, Associate Dean Wang Chao held in-depth discussions with international accreditation experts and representatives from peer institutions, focusing on key priorities and challenges in AMBA/BGA accreditation processes. He also exchanged insights on MBA education reforms in the digital-intelligent era and explored collaboration opportunities with the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Malaya, a leading Malaysian institution. These interactions provided valuable references for advancing our school’s BGA certification efforts, accelerating digital business education development, and enhancing global engagement.
International accreditation remains a strategic pillar for the school’s development. Moving forward, we will leverage such accreditations to drive reforms and innovations in digital transformation of business education, cultivation of innovative talent, and international partnerships, thereby ensuring the comprehensive and sustainable advancement of MBA programs and the development of related disciplines.
