Hubei Provincial Finals of 1st National AI Application Innovation Competition See Outstanding Performance

May 28, 2025 – The Hubei Provincial Finals of the 1st National AI Application Innovation Competition concluded at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Our college’s student teams delivered exceptional performances, securing 4 grand prizes and 3 first prizes in both the graduate and undergraduate categories, with 7 projects advancing to the national finals—demonstrating our strength in AI + Management digital education.  

College’s Preparation for the Competition  

As a key participant, the School of Management formed a dedicated guidance team comprising faculty from the Department of Management Information Systems and the Department of Human Resources. Focusing on AI + Management, the team provided project mentoring through multiple rounds of workshops and mock presentations, enhancing students’ practical skills and bridging the gap between AI concept design and real-world implementation.

Highlights at the Provincial Finals  

• Graduate Category (Grand Prize): Chen Sijia’s team addressed inefficiencies in Scrum management at internet companies—such as disorganized requirements and cross-departmental collaboration issues—by designing an AI agent for intelligent task allocation.


• Undergraduate Category (Grand Prizes): Teams led by Wang Erjing, Shi Hongming, and Li Yuanxun focused on science and technology policy management, leveraging multidimensional literature data and AI-driven workflow optimization to improve analytical efficiency.

• Undergraduate Category (First Prizes):  

  • Jiang Lai’s team developed an AI-powered talent planning assistant for HR management, aiding precise business decision-making.  

  • Liu Jialin’s team created a human-AI collaborative emotional support platform for intelligent psychological counseling.

  • Deng Zhiyuan’s team optimized legal case retrieval through agent-based planning.

Through system demonstrations and on-site defenses, the teams showcased innovative solutions to industry challenges using AI.  

Future Plans  

The School of Management will further promote competition-driven learning, strengthen AI + Management digital education, and advance the intelligent integration of teaching and industry practices—cultivating interdisciplinary talents with both technical expertise and management acumen for the digital economy era.
