Dean Chen Xiaofang Leads Delegation to Second “Hubei Accounting” Forum

Wuhan, China - November 29, 2025 - The second Hubei Accounting Forum, hosted by the Hubei Provincial Institute of Accounting, was successfully held in Wuhan. Centered on the themeAccounting Digitization and High-Quality Development, the forum aimed to establish a high-level exchange platform, promote the deep integration of digital technology and accounting practices, and inject accounting momentum into Hubeis economic and social development. Professor Chen Xiaofang, Vice President of the Hubei Provincial Institute of Accounting and Dean of the WHUT School of Management, attended the forum by invitation, leading a delegation and participating deeply in the event as a commenting expert and award presenter.

The forum brought together top academic experts, industry leaders, and practitioners from the national accounting field. In her opening address, Song Xia, Chief Accountant of the Hubei Provincial Department of Finance, fully acknowledged the accounting profession's achievements in serving the development of new quality productive forces and emphasized the critical pathway of digital transformation. Liu Xingbang, President of the Hubei Provincial Institute of Accounting, elaborated on the institute's bridging role in pooling wisdom and driving innovation.

During the awards ceremony, research achievements by faculty and students from the school won two major prizes. The study Research on the Internal Control System for Corporate Social Responsibility Under the Dual Carbon Goals received the first prize for the 2023 Annual Accounting Research Project. The case Green Investment and Financing Driving Sustainable Development: Hubei Energys Accounting Management Empowering High-Quality Development was awarded the first prize for the Accounting Management Empowering High-Quality Development Case. These accolades, spanning both theoretical research and practical application, demonstrate the school's solid foundation and innovative capabilities in accounting theory and practice.

The forum featured cutting-edge content and broad perspectives, including in-depth analyses of accounting digitization transformation paths by authoritative experts and firsthand practical sharing from enterprises and institutions.
