Wuhan, China - November 8-9, 2025 - The finals of the 10th National College Student Human Resource Management Comprehensive Competency Competition were successfully held at the School of Management, Wuhan University of Technology (WHUT). The event brought together over 600 faculty members, students, and industry experts from 117 universities nationwide for a gathering focused on HR management academia and practice. Organized by the China Human Resource Development Research Society and the competition’s organizing committee, and hosted by WHUT, the event received technical support from Zhejiang Jingchuang Education Technology Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Tarui Technology Co., Ltd.

Ou Xiaoli, President of the China Human Resource Development Research Society and Chairman of the competition’s organizing committee, delivered an opening address on behalf of the host. President Ou expressed gratitude to the host university, technical support units, and participating teams. He acknowledged the event's evolution over nine years into an industry benchmark, highlighted the coexistence of opportunities and challenges in the HR field amid the digital wave, and emphasized youth as the main force for industry transformation. He encouraged students to “deepen expertise, pioneer innovation, and enhance collaboration”.
Li Jinfa, Deputy Secretary of the WHUT Party Committee, extended a welcome on behalf of the university. He underscored WHUT’s 127-year educational heritage and the School of Management’s over-60-year journey, which has established a new cultivation path featuring “Four-Chain Integration and Three-Integration Synergy”. He noted the competition’s alignment with the national strategy of reinvigorating China through talent and digital trends, providing an excellent platform for students to hone professional skills and deepen industry exchange, reflecting the university’s commitment to serving industrial development.
Prof. Chen Xiaofang, Dean of the WHUT School of Management, presided over the opening ceremony, thanking all stakeholders for their support. She stated that the competition has adhered to its decade-long mission of “promoting learning, practice, and innovation through competition”. This edition attracted hundreds of universities, and she expressed hope for it to serve as a vital platform for professional competition and intellectual exchange.
Tong Zewang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the WHUT School of Management, delivered the closing remarks, thanking supporters and participants. He highlighted the competition’s role in building a tripartite collaborative education platform involving the research society, universities, and enterprises. This platform helps students deepen professional understanding and solidify career readiness, injects momentum into HR education reform, and pools youthful strength for the digi-intellectual era, with expectations to continuously empower industry talent cultivation.

The competition was conducted under the principles of openness, fairness, and justice. It featured three categories: vocational college, undergraduate, and postgraduate groups. The contest comprised sessions such as “HR Data Analysis and Defense”, “HR Management Professional Practice”, and “HR Management Simulation Operation”, comprehensively evaluating teams’ professional knowledge, data analysis capabilities, and practical skills. After intense competition, the finals awarded 10 organization prizes, 24 first prizes, 35 second prizes, and 58 third prizes.

The National College Student Human Resource Management Comprehensive Competency Competition enabled young students to translate classroom knowledge into industry-applicable competencies through practical engagement in data analysis and simulation operations, cultivating a new generation of professionals equipped with both theoretical foundation and practical skills for the human resource management field.
